Für den guten Zweck mit der Vespa auf Spendentour I'd like to briefly introduce myself. The name came about as part of a family gathering in which ideas and suggestions could be brought forward. My grandson Jenri was then allowed to make the selection by drawing lots. There were 24 suggestions in total, including Kackbratze, Mumsel, GinTonic, egg cooker, thunder beam and other funny terms, including the herring gull. In the end it was the herring gull, the winner got an ice cream voucher ;-), so this topic is also known. This picture was taken when I visited the INTERMOT motorcycle show in Cologne in October 2022. I had planned to look for new clothing for my tours at the show. On Sunday, after attending Mass at Cologne Cathedral, I found this memorial plaque dedicated to Freya von Moltke nearby, which seemed fitting for my project. Many people I know already live by this saying, and I hope to speak to and experience many more on my tours. During a small, lovely Christmas celebration today, accompanied by Deputy Head of Nursing Indra-Isabel Zessin and Leonie Stegemann, responsible for project inquiries and donations, I had the pleasure of presenting my first donation to this children's hospice. After a very warm welcome and a shared lunch (delicious potato soup), it was a great honor to read a short Christmas story to some of the children present and to hand out small gifts. I was especially delighted to receive the flag for my Vespa, which will accompany me on my future tours. Für den guten Zweck mit der Vespa auf Spendentour Silver Gull 2 The Silver Seagull 2 found its way to me thanks to a recommendation from the president of the Lüneburg Vespa Club (Olaf Sander). Olaf told me that a Vespa, and the beautiful tours it offers, is a great alternative to motorcycling. After buying the Vespa GTS 300 Racing Sixties, my first big tour with Olaf was the trip to the Vespa Alp Days 2022 in Zell am See. The tour was entirely on roads, avoiding highways, and turned out to be a wonderful ride on the new Vespa. I discovered that even a good 1,200 km on the Vespa GTS is very relaxed and enjoyable. So, the replacement for the Silver Seagull 1 was found :-).
